context

Ulysse Nardin decided to create two short films to present their new collections, Freak X and Skeleton X, launched at the SIHH 2019.

While recalling the marine universe of the brand, the films are part of the theme "X-RAY", which is the general theme of Ulysse Nardin's communication for this SIHH.

In continuity with the graphic system created for the previous film, and in relation with the graphic vocabulary set up on the booth, we used a set of lights with blue and red filters. X-ray filtering allows us to reveal two different aspects of the same image. We therefore present at first some images that may seem confused, then thanks to the filters, we allow the viewer to visualize beyond the surface of the image, so that he can see the heart of matter, the movement, the true nature of things.

We also created visuals for the external displays of the SIHH booth, based on x-ray renderings of the watch and of a human arm.

Ulysse Nardin wanted to display a full scale X-ray image of a great white shark on the main wall of their booth. We made the documentary research, then using CGI and hand drawings we created this 40'000 pixels wide image.
